Maria Smock Blouse - Denim Blue

Traditional smocking done by hand by expert artisans hailing from the export trade in the 90's, based in Bago City, Negros. Historically, smocking lent garments (like bodices or blouses) elasticity around necklines and cuffs before the invention of rubber. It’s now more common to see smocking used as a decorative element for items like girls’ dresses or baptism gowns. 

This blouse features a round neckline adorned with intricate smocking that showcases a blend of mustard yellow, sky blue, and orange hues. The blouse is finished with elasticized ruched sleeves, while the back features a ribbon tie detail.
