Piña Flora Kimona

Our famous Flora Piña is designed in-house and especially made for us by La Herminia artisans based in Kalibo, Aklan. The method used is called Piña suksok, or “sinuksok” meaning “to insert,” describing the technique of inserting colored thread by hand and needle to create patterns and designs.

The Kimona silhouette was inspired by traditional Maria Clara garments we found during one of our research trips to the Museum of Iloilo. It is distinguished by a round neckline and voluminous, bell-shaped sleeves. The back closure features ribbon ties.
